Kearny Mesa, on Mercury Street.

Mercury is the Kearny Mesa room, on Mercury Street, and it is the one with parking on site.

It is a short way from the original on Convoy Street, and the two are not the same room twice: Convoy is communal tables and the expanded izakaya list, Mercury is the ninety-seat room with the full bar and the sushi programme.

What is different about this room.

The full bar.

Craft cocktails, Japanese whisky, and a full wine list. No other Tajima room is set up this way.

The biggest room.

Around ninety seats and three screens, which is why it is the one that takes group bookings.

The sushi list.

Four sashimi plates and a specialty roll list, the largest sushi programme of the San Diego rooms.

Groups, by phone.

Walk in like every other room, or call ahead if there are a lot of you.

Do you take reservations?
No. Every Tajima room is walk-in. Mercury takes group bookings by phone.
Do you have vegan ramen?
Yes. The Vegan Ramen is built on house-made spinach noodles, marinated tofu and a soy-based broth.
Is there a gluten-free noodle?
No. There is no gluten-free noodle in any bowl. Some dishes can be prepared without gluten, so ask the floor.
What allergens are on the menu?
Soy, wheat, shellfish, egg and dairy are all present across the menu.
Can I order online?
Yes, every room has its own ordering page, and takeout runs at all of them. Delivery is through third-party apps and varies by room.
How do you pay?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash.
Where do I park at Mercury?
On-site parking.

The noodles are made in our own Noodle Room in Crown Point, and the broth is simmered there every morning and driven out before service.
